01.21.2020 – Aerojet Rocketdyne
Who: Aerojet Rocketdyne is an independent provider of aviation services to commercial and government customers worldwide.
Machines: Autoclaves; 5-Axis Gantry; Core Ovens/Freezers; CMMs
Challenge: Liquidation of +85,000 sqft facility. Project included facility consolidation that required complex coordination & communication with AAR Sacramento, AAR Florida, Riggers, Logistics
Strategy & Outcome: 98% of equipment has currently been sold and is currently in the removal process in advance of schedule.
Who: AAR is a world recognized aerospace and defense leader providing propulsion and energetics to its space, missile defense, strategic, tactile missile and armaments customers throughout the world.
Machines: Heat treatment equipment; Filament Winders; Vacuum Furnace
Challenge: Liquidation auction of an 800,000+ sqft manufacturing facility. Auction included highly specialized heat treatment and vacuum equipment, CNC machining, quality assurance, tooling and more.
Strategy & Outcome: Assets from this facility were sold during two successful auctions - a live and webcast event featuring major machinery and equipment, and an online only auction featuring mostly plant support and tooling. Total registrations included over 1000 users from 42 U.S. States and 5 Canadian Provinces.
11.15.2019 – Oskaloosa Engineering
Who: Oskaloosa Engineering
Machines: Okuma MU 6300 2015 (Two Machines)
Challenge: Oskaloosa Engineering reached out to us at IMTS 2018 regarding the possible sale of two Okuma MU-6300 2015 machines at their facility. Both machines had a crash and required spindle repair and X/Z axis repair.
Strategy & Outcome: MMI purchased both machines from Oskaloosa Engineering in June 2019. Leveraging our connections with the Okuma OEM, we repaired both machines within 45 days and brought them back to new machine specs. Machines were sold, rigged and transported to an Aerospace company in Wichita within 45 days of completion of repairs.
